Safer Texas Campaign
This campaign works to address increasing public safety concerns that our laws prohibiting the marijuana market are sending the dangerous and mixed message to the public that alcohol is more acceptable.

Did you know?
The federal government's National Survey on Drug Use and Health reports that the number of persons selling illicit drugs (the vast majority involving marijuana) has nearly quadrupled from 1.2 million in 1992 to 4.4 million in 2008, with one in six sellers under the age of 18.
We serve parents, students and other concerned citizens by working to reform our marijuana laws to greatly reduce many of the drug and crime problems afflicting our youth and communities.
Stop unrestricted youth access to the marijuana market.
Remove unregulated growing and selling from our residential areas, parks and schools.
Take the profits out of the hands of criminals.
Restore respect for the law.

Regulation, Education, and Taxation
Allows government to reasonably control how marijuana is sold in our communities through regulation and taxation, which in turn raises revenue for education and healthcare programs.
Focuses parent and community efforts on reducing youth access to marijuana.
Reduces the number of youth exposed to criminal groups on the street and in our criminal justice system.
Stops billions of dollars from going to criminal organizations each year.
